Academic Center of Excellence (ACE)

The University of California’s Academic Center of Excellence has had a productive partnership with the First Baptist Church.  We are a non-profit organization dedicated to building a college-going culture in Pittsburg.  We serve students from grades K-12.  Past services include:  the Summer Academy of 2005, after-school tutoring, SAT preparation classes, phonics instruction and financial aid workshops.

To inquire about our services, please call (925) 432-7498 and ask for Kelly McLennan.  Please note that members at the First Baptist Church are NOT required to receive services from ACE.  There are also no PARENTAL INCOME requirements.  We strive to serve all students in the area who need assistance.
